Many people are wrongly saying that Hudson Taylor prophesied that a Great Awakening will start in Russia and spread to Europe and the world, this is wrong. Here is the prophecy and I will give the correct understanding:

This vision was received while he was preaching in Britain, on furlough from China:

I have seen a vision. I saw in this vision a great war that encompasses the world. I saw this war recede and then start again, actually being two wars. after this I saw much unrest and revolts that will affect many nations. I saw in some places spiritual awakenings. In Russia I saw there will come a general all-encompassing national spiritual awakening spread to many European countries. Then I saw an all-out awakening, followed by the coming of Christ.

First notice that it refers to WW1 and WW2. So this comes after those wars. Notice that it does NOT say it is a Christian spiritual awakening. It specifically says a “general all-encompassing national spiritual awaking.” I believe this refers to the Russia leaving Communism and embracing Capitalism. It also included eastern European countries that had been part of the U.S.S.R. This awakening was followed by and “all-out awakening.” Now, if the first was a Christian Awakening, then what is supposed to be the second “all-out.” This could be an actual  Christian awakening, caused by people turning to Christ during WW3, then Christ returns.

Right now Russia is persecuting Christians who are not part of the Russian Orthodox Church. The ROC believes that it is the ONLY TRUE church on Earth, which means it is actually A FALSE CHURCH; therefore NO Awakening will come from the ROC.
